Subject: Re: Flash Renamer 6.41: problem found - installer infection?
Date: Thu, 18 Mar 2010 18:05:07 +0100
Most likely this is a "false positive". It is when the "smart" anti-virus programs thinks that something looks like a virus even though it is not. It happens more often that you would think, especially since the AV-programs today tries to detect unknown viruses through algorithms. Usually this is solved by itself in the next couple of av-signature updates.

(6.41). After installation, the program asked to reboot the system, but Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 immediately quarantined Flash Renamer
6.41 setup .exe file.
> Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 qualified Flash Renamer
6.41 setup .exe file as PDM.trojan.generic.

6.41 program works fine, but setup .exe file is still quarantined.

version 6.1, 6.2, 6.3.

6.41 setup .exe file infected with a trojan?
